Who We Are

Sujaya Foundation has been bridging the linguistic and digital divide in India, since 2002. The aim of the Foundation is to provide education and employability skills by leveraging technology and incorporating the best pedagogical practices at an elementary, as well as at an advanced Level.
We implement this through various programmes under ‘Empower Youth’.
Empower Youth Program : Under this program, we provide underprivileged youth and youth with special abilities, the opportunity to arm themselves with the basic skills required to be gainfully employed in today’s competitive world, and also supporting the students in job assistance. We train them in Computer Literacy, Spoken English and Soft Skills by Industry experts.
Every year Sujaya Foundation trains around 300 youth with special abilities and 700 underprivileged youth in these skills. More than 70 percent of these youth are successfully placed in Corporate Organisations.

Raising Funds For

Generally, youth with hearing and speech impairment are SSC qualified. This is because there is no higher education facility by the government exclusively for youth with hearing impairments in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai. They join any college accessible to them and drop out during the process as there aren’t special educators/sign language interpreters in these colleges. Hence many NGOs have initiated tutoring them for college education in Mumbai.
Sujaya Foundation has taken an initiative in training 30 such youth with hearing impairment and preparing them for Standard 11 and 12 Commerce subjects. This is implemented in our Navi Mumbai Centre.
Funds raised will be used for this cause – payment of trainers’ salary, training materials, books, payment of University fees and other equivalent expenses.
