Who We Are
Over 110 million out of a total of 250 million children in India are enrolled in government schools, where they do not get the opportunity to develop essential skills and qualities like problem-solving, collaboration and communication, values and principles. This critical gap, wherein these children are not equipped to become responsible and employable citizens is leading to a continuing crisis in our society. United Nations recognises this crisis in the form of needing to develop ‘global citizenship skills’ under Sustainable Development Goal #4 of providing inclusive and equitable quality education.
Enabling Leadership is a project under Pragatee Foundation , a public charitable Trust registered under section 29 of the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 & established in 2005
Enabling Leadership’s Response: We believe every child can be a leader. We work with 8-16-year-old children from government and low-income private schools through creative and innovative programs using Music ( EL Create), Football (EL Play) and Lego type building blocks (EL Build) Each program is carefully designed to enable children to collaborate, reflect on and connect first-hand experiences and learnings from the classroom or playground with their real lives. Our 6-year intervention is designed around a Leadership Framework,, which is the basis for all our programs.

Raising Funds For
Every Child needs your support. Now, more than ever before! Today Enabling Leadership is reaching 10000+ children in ensuring the Life Skill Education focusing on Social and Emotional Learning continues in about 150+ Government / Affordable private schools in 8 locations in urban India (Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad) and rural India (Dharwad, Kumta, Satana )
Our goal is to reach one million children by 2030, to be able to create a meaningful impact. We endeavour to maintain a gender balance of 50% girls to 50% boys, across all our programs and locations.
