Who We Are

Working relentlessly since the last 102 years for the care, education, health and rehabilitation of underprivileged children and women. Funded almost entirely by donations. Run through the unstinting efforts of volunteers and trained staff.
Main Projects: Asha Sadan Children's Home, Asha Kiran (Street Children Project), Savera Centre for Special Children, Abhilasha Centre (Dharavi), Bapnu Ghar, Foster Care, Free reading room and library at Worli.

    Since all our projects run on donations with some grant form the govt, the funds collected will be used for the education, nutrition and medical rehabilitation of the beneficiaries of our various projects.

Savera - 54 children and adults Library - 1500 students Abhilasha - Balwadi for 200 children and vocational training for adult women Asha Kiran - 110 students
    ImpactServing the community at large for 100 years is a great pride and achievement for our organization. We have been succesful in helping rehabilitate and reintegrate more than 1500 beneficiaries from the underpriviledge and less fortunate families.

    Project DescriptionAsha Sadan - House of hope for less fortunate children aged 0-6 years and young women aged 13-18 years.
    Asha Kiran (Street Children Project) - A day-care and learning shelter for street children that aims for their development over all.
    Savera Centre for special children - Savera "Dawn" a school and sheltered workshop that serves intellectually disabled children between the ages of 13-20.
    Abhilasha Centre - Equips women and children who live in adverse conditions in slum communities.
    Bapnu Ghar - "Father's Home provides a shelter for women who are victims of domestic violence on social distress while working towards their reintegration into society.
    Foster Care - Offers financial assistance to family units, especially single or terminally ill parents who are incapable of caring for the children.
    Free reading room and Library - A free open access library and a community study centre where students with no other facilities can come in and study all day and late into the night.
