About Us
Habitat for Humanity has its roots in service. We are not for profit organization started in 1983 working towards a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Based in 70 countries we are Indian with 98% of funds raised in India. We are predominantly into Housing, Water & Sanitation and Disaster Risk response. We are aligned with Swachch Bharat, Housing for All and Janshakti for Jalshakti. We have built and repaired more than 100,000 homes and million sanitation units. During recent Kerala Floods we reached out to largest number of flood affected families (1.3 lakhs). Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves. Through shelter, we empower.
