Save the Children is fiercely committed towards ensuring that children not only survive, but also thrive. In 2018 itself, they have impacted the lives of more than 12 lakh children. I have personally witnessed their efforts for betterment of disadvantaged children and therefore, I want to support their cause by raising funds for their programs.
About Me
Dr. Abdul Kalam remembers one of his childhood incidents : One day my mom placed a plate of sabzi and extremely burnt roti in front of my dad. I was waiting to see if anyone noticed the burnt roti. But Dad just ate his roti and asked me how was my day was at school. I do remember I heard Mom apologizing to dad for the burnt roti. And I’ll never forget what he said: “Honey, I love burnt roti.”
Later that night, I asked him if he really liked his roti and he said: “You know son, life is full of imperfect things. Life is too short to wake up with regrets! Love the people who treat you right and have compassion for the ones who don’t.”
This story is my source of inspiration for doing my bit for less privileged people.
