Financial Literacy Programme, 2018

Two IIFL employees conducted a financial literacy session for 15 women from the fisherfolk community. The session included topics like saving money, budgeting and expenses, all covered in a manner relevant to the beneficiaries and their daily exchanges.

Four IIFL employees conducted a computer literacy session with 12 teachers from Ashadeep Association. The teachers were previously taught Microsoft Word and learned about using Microsoft Excel, this time. Both these programmes are of use in their classrooms as well as while making budgets.

IIFL employee volunteers in Chennai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai conducted workshops on computer literacy and financial literacy. 10 employee volunteers reached out to 150 beneficiaries, including teachers, NGO staff and NGO beneficiaries and talked about budgeting, banking services, mutual funds, computer basics and using Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
