Kerala & Karnataka have been devastated by unprecedented rains causing flooding and large scale losses across the state. Kochi airport, railway and bus services have shut down, 350+ people have lost their lives and over 7 lakh have been displaced and evacuated to relief camps for safety.

While government and civil society organisations are engaged in rescue operations, we know that rebuilding these communities will take a long time. The displaced families need our immediate help to ensure they have shelter, food and basic healthcare to tide them through this difficult time.

Indian Hotels Company Ltd is partnering with the non-profit United Way Mumbai to support relief and rehabilitation efforts. United Way has a legacy of intervening in disaster response initiatives across the country. 100% of all contributions received by them for immediate relief will be directed towards relief efforts. United Way Mumbai will retain no administrative costs.

Immediate funds requirements are mentioned below. United Way Mumbai will also assess needs for mid term relief and long term rehabilitation.
