I am running the Mumbai Marathon, which is to be held on 18th Jan 2026, and supporting this cause. This is an amazing platform to spread awareness, contribute and help make a difference to those less fortunate than us. So let's do our part and contribute. Any SMALL amount can make a HUGE difference to someone else's life...after all, no one has ever become poor from giving.

Appeal

Dear Donors,

It has been inspiring to witness the remarkable work of Sankalp Rehabilitation Trust, an NGO that works tirelessly to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS, working closely with the street-based community who have insufficient social support and very little education or training for social reintegration. It is a remarkable social-healthcare initiative that has touched numerous lives over the years through their innovative, versatile and comprehensive programs and projects. From screening, testing, medical care, harm reduction, counselling, rehabilitation, vocational training, awareness programs in communities and educational institutions, night shelters, livelihood training and advocacy for affordable treatment and social reintegration Sankalp offers full continuum of care and support to those who need it the most.

I do believe this is a cause that needs a lot more awareness, and is not just crippling to the people who suffer from it but the family and society at large as well. We need a lot more sensitivity towards it, for starters, and for that to be backed up with concrete action. Sankalp Rehabilitation Trust, I believe, does good work on both fronts.
