Our project aims to provide intensive therapies free of cost for intellectual disabilities children whom we have identified from poor backgrounds with uneducated parents. The children will be assessed by a child neurologist and therapist for clear identification of their difficulties and plan targeted therapy. This would enable the understanding and application of learning principles. As a Nonprofit Special School committed to recognising talent and skills among special needs students we place the greatest emphasis on personalised instruction. Coupled with the great level of attention, care and support in a safe and secure environment will contribute to making them feel independent to live a full life in the society. We strive to identify such gems so that they can make a positive difference in our world.
Subhiksha Special School will provide the necessary space for the children and therapist for the project. We need Special Educators, Physiotherapist, Speech Therapist, Occupational Therapist and Vocational Trainers. We also need to arrange transport and food for them. This is the first project of this kind to empower Intellectual Disabilities children giving an enormous boost to their confidence.
