About Me
Hello, I am Sufiyan Chaudhary, a Burkitt’s Lymphoma (Stage 4) survivor. I am participating in the Tata Mumbai Marathon to raise awareness about Childhood Cancer and to spread an important message — childhood cancer is treatable, and survivors can go on to live full, meaningful lives.
I was diagnosed with Burkitt’s Lymphoma in the year 2009. Those days were some of the most challenging moments of my life, but with timely treatment, unwavering support from my family, and the exceptional care I received at Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital, Mumbai, I fought the disease and survived.
My journey did not end with recovery.
Today, I am a proud part of the Indian Cancer Society (ICS) — a national organization that has been working tirelessly for decades to support cancer patients and survivors across India. ICS plays a vital role in cancer awareness, early detection, patient support, rehabilitation, and survivor empowerment, ensuring that no one fights cancer alone.
But this story isn’t just mine.
This year, I am running the Tata Mumbai Marathon to stand in solidarity with children who are currently battling cancer and with those who have survived it. Every step I take is for the young warriors who inspire us with their courage, strength, and unbreakable spirit.
Why I Run
I run to raise awareness.
I run to give hope.
I run to tell every family facing childhood cancer that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
With early diagnosis, proper treatment, and the right support, childhood cancer can be defeated. Your encouragement and support can help spread this message, inspire action, and change lives.
