About Me

My name is Vihaan Jinesh Kamdar. I am 10 years old and a Grade 5 student of The Somaiya School, Vidyavihar. Besides my academic routines, I am a sports enthusiast and play multiple sports, with Roller Skating and Cricket being my favorites.

Since my childhood days, my parents and grandparents have always motivated me to participate in social welfare activities in whatever capacity possible to help the under-privileged people in our society. I have previously participated in a medical checkup camp, food distribution drive and also donated my last birthday's cash gifts for the installation of a water-pump in a remote village.

Umang Foundation NGO has dedicated almost 2 decades of it's existence to uplifting under-funded schools in remote areas where children still struggle with poor classrooms, broken infrastructure, and difficult learning conditions, leading to high rates of student dropouts without completing their academic careers. While I get to live a life of comfort and abundance, hundreds of other kids my own age suffer from lack of access to basic education and sustained learning that enables us to build our entire lives with purpose and accomplishment.

Hence, I feel obligated to help Umang Foundation in their mission to renovate under-aided schools that will have colorful walls, clean surroundings, child-friendly spaces, and a renewed sense of hope for hundreds of kids like me. I want to raise funds to help renovate such schools in the Shahapur area and create better learning environments for children who deserve the same opportunities as all of us.

I am creating this fund-raising page to spread awareness about the dire need for enabling dignified education for all kids and to ask for your generosity in supporting my mission. INR 1 lakh to help renovate the entire Primary section of a school — with the support of my friends, my family, and everyone who believes in this mission.

My goal is simple yet powerful: to give every child the chance to learn with dignity and dream without limits.

Appeal

Every day, hundreds of children walk into a school that is falling apart — cracked walls, leaking roofs, broken furniture, poor lighting, unsanitary toilets, and unsafe surroundings. These are not just structural problems; they are barriers that silently restrict a child’s learning, confidence, and future.

But, together we can change this.

Umang Foundation is an NGO committed to improving the future of this country by enabling quality education for all children. They are under-taking multiple projects for renovating under-privileged schools to give the next generation children safe, encouraging, and inspiring places to learn. These projects will build :

• Strong, well-lit classrooms with educational aids
• Permanent flooring and water-proof roofs
• Speaking walls with cheerful colors spreading knowledge and facts
• Clean drinking water & sanitation facilities
• Child-friendly learning spaces like libraries and activity corners

This transformation will impact hundreds of young lives, giving them the dignity and environment they deserve.
