About Me

I am Prashant Satish Pawar, a dedicated banker from Satara working in the loan department. To balance the high work pressure and maintain a healthy lifestyle, I turned toward my long-time hobby—running. What began as a simple effort to stay fit soon transformed into a powerful passion that reshaped my life.

Over the years, I have completed several marathons and consistently delivered strong performances across various events. My journey has grown steadily—from 10 km races to 21 km, then 35 km, and ultimately the full 42 km marathon.

Today, running is not just my fitness routine—it is my identity and my motivation. I strive to inspire people from rural communities, showing them that age, background, or a busy schedule can never limit one’s potential. With dedication and consistency, anyone can achieve a stronger and healthier version of themselves.

Dear friends and supporters,

I am excited to share with you a cause close to my heart, supporting the work of the Children’s Movement for Civic Awareness (CMCA), an organisation with 25 years of dedicated service in citizenship and life-skills education across India.

At CMCA, our mission is to transform young people into concerned, thoughtful, and active citizens. Through experiential learning, children not only learn about values like empathy, responsibility, and participation, they live them, reflect, and act together to bring change in their communities.

This year, I am raising funds to support CMCA’s “My Library for a Better Me” programme - an inspiring initiative that transforms rural Gram Panchayat libraries into vibrant learning spaces. Here, children aged 12–16 explore books, life-skills, creativity, and community action under the guidance of trained mentors. It’s a safe, joyful place where they grow into confident, curious, and compassionate citizens.

Every step I take in this marathon is my commitment to stand for positive change and civic education for children. I invite you to join me in this journey, every contribution, big or small, helps nurture these libraries and the young minds they serve.
