About Me

Hi,

I am Juhi. I am a social worker, researcher, and M&E consultant. I have spent the early years of my childhood as a Basketball player and Track athlete. After a decade of not doing any sporting activity, I got back to running in 2019 when I joined my former workplace, Maitrayana. Since then, I have never looked back. I have run at multiple places and locations across India and Europe, but also got closer to swimming, running, and also very recently into strength training. This is my first 21KM in TMM, and I cannot wait to see what barriers I am going to break and cross the finish line while having lots of fun.

Appeal

Having formerly worked with Maitrayana in 2022, I deeply believe in Maitrayana's cause. Maitrayana leverages the power of sports to create a just and equal ecosystems that empower girls & women to fulfil their potential and that them are able to exercise their agency and rights. Maitrayana works with adolescent girls and women hailing from marginalised backgrounds in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore, and through sport, girls get access to opportunities to play and exercise their right to play safely.

Contributing to this fundraiser means you are contributing to a gender-just world where every girl associated with Maitrayana (almost 25000+ across Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore) gets to participate, play, and exercise her right.
