About Me

My name is Lalit Sharma, and I come from a close-knit family of four. I run a media production house, while my wife is a wellness coach and Ayurvedic doctor. Our daughter is in her final year of liberal arts, specializing in clinical psychology; she’s a passionate reader who enjoys sharing book reviews on social media. Our son is in 10th grade and an avid football player representing his school. As a family, we love exploring new experiences, and for me, running is a daily source of motivation to live life to the fullest.

Dear friends and supporters,

I am excited to share with you a cause close to my heart, supporting the work of the Children’s Movement for Civic Awareness (CMCA), an organisation with 25 years of dedicated service in citizenship and life-skills education across India.

At CMCA, our mission is to transform young people into concerned, thoughtful, and active citizens. Through experiential learning, children not only learn about values like empathy, responsibility, and participation, they live them, reflect, and act together to bring change in their communities.

This year, I am raising funds to support CMCA’s “My Library for a Better Me” programme - an inspiring initiative that transforms rural Gram Panchayat libraries into vibrant learning spaces. Here, children aged 12–16 explore books, life-skills, creativity, and community action under the guidance of trained mentors. It’s a safe, joyful place where they grow into confident, curious, and compassionate citizens.

Every step I take in this marathon is my commitment to stand for positive change and civic education for children. I invite you to join me in this journey, every contribution, big or small, helps nurture these libraries and the young minds they serve.
