Pooja Shetty has consistently demonstrated a remarkable ability to build and scale innovative ventures across the entertainment and media landscape. She was instrumental in establishing India's first and the world's largest IMAX Dome Theatre, significantly expanding multiplexes and revolutionizing film exhibition in the country. A key leader in the inception and operation of Imagicaa, India's first and largest theme park, Pooja seamlessly oversaw critical aspects like organization building, food and beverage, retail, and marketing strategies for this large-scale enterprise. Her creative vision further extended to co-producing four feature films, showcasing her aptitude for delivering content that resonates with evolving audiences. Complementing her operational and creative successes, Pooja also oversaw two successful public listings of her companies, underscoring her strategic acumen and expertise in corporate growth.
Appeal
Childhood cancer can be cured. But for children in India, it’s a very different story. Lack of access to timely treatment and malnutrition among those seeking treatment makes survival difficult for children.
~76,000 adolescents (age 0-19) may develop cancer every year in India of which ~ 40% are malnourished at diagnosis. Malnutrition has a serious impact on cancer treatment, because treatments like chemotherapy may lead to side effects, complications, risk of infections, etc.
Cuddles Foundation is India's only NGO dedicated to helping children combat cancer through holistic nutrition. Cuddles has partnered with top government hospitals and charity cancer treatment centers to address the nutrition gap in Indian childhood cancer care. Through their FoodHeals® Program, Cuddles provides year-round holistic nutrition support to children and their families in 40+ hospitals across India.
The funds raised via Tata Mumbai Marathon will contribute to supporting hundreds of children at our partner hospitals in Mumbai with ration bundles, supplements, meals & counseling.
