About Me

I strongly believe in the philosophy of “think global, act local.” My journey with Vidyadaan Sahayyak Mandal (VSM) started years ago, and since then, it has become a cause very close to my heart. VSM is a completely volunteer-driven organisation that supports exceptionally bright students from underserved rural and low-income backgrounds, helping them pursue higher education with dignity and confidence.

One of the most impressive aspects of VSM is its rigorous, thoughtful, and holistic selection process. Only the most deserving, genuinely bright, and hardworking students are chosen. The selection team evaluates not just academics but multidimensional personality traits, resilience, values, and long-term potential — ensuring that every student selected truly has the spark to excel.

Over the past 17 years, more than 1100 students across 16 professional fields have completed their education through VSM’s model, and 850+ students are currently being mentored.

VSM’s support goes far beyond scholarships.
Many of these students come from small towns, villages, and talukas and enter big-city colleges purely on merit. The sudden shift — language, exposure, confidence, pace — can be overwhelming. VSM’s 360° grooming model, with dedicated Mentor Parents and highly active career teams across all streams, helps students navigate this transition with emotional strength and clarity.
Each career team works hard to introduce students to inspiring professionals and visionaries. I have personally witnessed how effectively the medical career team engages aspiring doctors through monthly sessions, mentorship circles, and motivational interactions.

As a Volunteer Parent mentoring two exceptionally bright aspiring medical students, I have seen how transformative this ecosystem truly is. A little support at the right moment can restore confidence, prevent self-doubt, and open doors that would otherwise remain closed.
