About Me

I am Sanjay Shende, recently superannuated from Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), Mumbai.
During my stint at MGL, in addition to focusing my energies to take MGL at a higher pedestal, i was also actively involved in CSR activities of MGL.

This CSR journey was rooted in helping needy people in Mumbai, Thane & Raigad (area of operations of MGL). Healthcare , Education, Skill development & Nutrition were the focus but we also undertook CSR Intervention in other SDG goals.
MGL's CSR intervention changed the Cardiology dept of Nair Hospital in Mumbai Central.
MGL was also instrumental in setting up the Digital Dental Centre at Nair Hospital & Dental College at Mumbai.
MGL supplied /supported the Nephrology unit at Sir J J Hospital Mumbai.

MGL's major CSR Budget was invested in various initiatives in the Raigad District. Right from establishing a state of art Skill Development center to providing Dialysis machines in remote corners of Raigad to integrated development of villages, MGLK's CSR initiative had its footprint all over the district.

Appeal

I am Sanjay Shende, recently superannuated from Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), Mumbai.
I was closely working on CSR initiatives of MGL for last 4 years which really changed my outlook . I felt that in addition to healthcare & nutrition, Educational interventions go a long way in uplifting needy people & their families.

As Bharathaksha Foundation focuses on Education especially in municipal schools , their work resonates very well with me.
This year, as I participate in my second Tata Mumbai Marathon (Half Marathon), I want to dedicate my run to Bharathaksha Foundation.
