About Me

Hi! I’m Maya Goel. I am in 7th grade and I go to B. D. Somani International School. I love swimming, playing the guitar and reading fantasy, mystery and adventure novels. I am participating in the Tata Dream Run and representing the Cuddles Foundation. The Cuddles Foundation is the first Indian NGO that provides food to underprivileged Cancer patients. This food is very nutritious and helps prevent malnutrition which helps the children fight cancer. I believe everyone should get good food and I want to make a difference. So please help me support underprivileged children by donating. Thank you!

Appeal

Childhood cancer can be cured. But for children in India, it’s a very different story. Lack of access to timely treatment and malnutrition among those seeking treatment makes survival difficult for children.
~76,000 adolescents (age 0-19) may develop cancer every year in India of which ~ 40% are malnourished at diagnosis. Malnutrition has a serious impact on cancer treatment, because treatments like chemotherapy may lead to side effects, complications, risk of infections, etc.

Cuddles Foundation is India's only NGO dedicated to helping children combat cancer through holistic nutrition. Cuddles has partnered with top government hospitals and charity cancer treatment centers to address the nutrition gap in Indian childhood cancer care. Through their FoodHeals® Program, Cuddles provides year-round holistic nutrition support to children and their families in 40+ hospitals across India.

The funds raised via Tata Mumbai Marathon will contribute to supporting hundreds of children at our partner hospitals in Mumbai with ration bundles, supplements, meals & counseling.
