About Me

My name is Ronav Khajanchi and i'm a grade 11 student in the AS Levels program at Aditya Birla World Academy. I want to run this marathon to help raise funds for the nutrition of children battling cancer because proper nutrition plays a vital role in their recovery and strength during treatment. Many families struggle to afford the special diets and supplements these children need, and through this effort, I hope to support them in their fight and contribute to giving them a better chance at healing and hope.

Appeal

Childhood cancer can be cured. But for children in India, it’s a very different story. Lack of access to timely treatment and malnutrition among those seeking treatment makes survival difficult for children.
~76,000 adolescents (age 0-19) may develop cancer every year in India of which ~ 40% are malnourished at diagnosis. Malnutrition has a serious impact on cancer treatment, because treatments like chemotherapy may lead to side effects, complications, risk of infections, etc.

Cuddles Foundation is India's only NGO dedicated to helping children combat cancer through holistic nutrition. Cuddles has partnered with top government hospitals and charity cancer treatment centers to address the nutrition gap in Indian childhood cancer care. Through their FoodHeals® Program, Cuddles provides year-round holistic nutrition support to children and their families in 40+ hospitals across India.

The funds raised via Tata Mumbai Marathon will contribute to supporting hundreds of children at our partner hospitals in Mumbai with ration bundles, supplements, meals & counseling.
