Appeal
WSD’s On-site first aid team is integral to community animal care givers like myself, who look after our streeties. Reporters call on the WSD helpline and the field nurse arrives to provide treatment on the same day. This is free of cost to any community animal caretaker/feeder.
The On-site first aid team treats over 1000 cases every single month. WSD needs funds to support the salaries of the team, medicines, and other resources for smooth and efficient functioning. In times of heavy rain, extreme heat, pollution, traffic, this programme is the anchor in the storm for the street dogs and cats.
They treat all issues, from wounds, skin problems, maggot wounds, and eye infections, to even severe cases like kidney problems and jaundice, which require regular follow ups. All funds raised will go directly to support the On-sit first aid team at WSD.
WSD has been running this programme since 1995 and has helped thousands of street dogs, cats and kind community animal caregivers through this programme. Please help me support WSD so that together we can continue looking after our community animals. Our streeties will surely thank you for your generous Diwali gift!
