I am fundraising money for CCDT which will enable me to run my first Tata Mumbai Marathon 10k! Looking forward to your support.
Committed Communities Development Trust's Goal:
• Empowering adolescents to be able to contribute meaningfully to their own development related to
• SRHR (sexual reproductive health and rights) and influence the environment positively.
Objectives:
• Sensitizing adolescents, their families, and the community on SRHR issues through community and
mobile app-based initiatives to make them aware of their Rights generates demand for services
• Involving adolescents in identifying issues, mapping problems/issues and possible solutions that
affects them including advocating for “CHILD RIGHTS”
• Imparting life skills including self-defence skills to empower adolescents on self-protection
• Screening and nutrition intervention for adolescents identified with Anaemia to improve menstrual
health outcomes
• Building safe spaces for children in the community to create a platform for self-expression and
interaction with peers
Project location & Target group:
• The project will be implemented in Dharavi and Dahisar of Mumbai
Dahisar Health Post clusters are:
• Ketkipada
• Dharkhadi,
• Kokanipada
Dharavi Health Post clusters are:
• Social Nagar
• Shastri Nagar, Gopinath Colony Mukund Nagar
• Dhaneshwar, Saibaba Nagar, Indira Nagar, Bhagat Singh Nagar and Dhorwada. Sangam
Nagar
Beneficiaries:
• Marginalize families with adolescents from 10-17 years.
• Direct Primary Audience: 1000 Marginalized adolescents from 10-17 years
• Direct Secondary Audience: Parents of these adolescents
• Indirect Audience: Dharavi and Dahisar Community
In order to address these issues, CCDT Pehel project has plan intervention in Dahisar and Dharavi to
work with adolescents, their parents, and community at large so that the adolescents would be able
to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life.
