Dear all,
Help Raise a Generation of Boys Who Choose Equality, Not Violence

In India, 230 million boys are growing up today and more than half of them are likely to justify or commit violence against women and girls. These attitudes are not only fueling gender-based violence but are also deeply linked to issues like education, health, child marriage and poverty.

We cannot solve gender inequality without engaging boys.

The Gender Education (GE) programme by Hariraj Charitable Trust is transforming this reality. We work with boys aged 13–17 from low-income communities—equipping them with knowledge, skills, leadership, and peer support to challenge harmful gender norms and become allies for change.

Through safe, mentor-led spaces, these boys learn to reflect on their own beliefs and take collective action to support women and girls in their communities. They don’t just learn about equality—they practice it.
