About Me

Hello. My name is Agastya and I am a junior at Aditya Birla World Academy in Mumbai. I am running the Tata Mumbai Marathon for a cause close to my heart. I lost my grandmother to cancer and I want to make a difference in the lives of the underprivileged children afflicted by cancer.

The funds will go towards providing necessary nutritional supplements to children fighting cancer in 40 government and charity cancer hospitals across India. These supplements will ensure that they are not malnourished and underweight when the treatment is on.

Help a child fight cancer through nutrition!

Childhood cancer can be cured. But for children in India, it’s a very different story. Lack of access to timely treatment and malnutrition among those seeking treatment makes survival difficult for children. Approximately 76,000 adolescents (aged 0-19) develop cancer annually in India, with approximately 40% of these cases being malnourished at diagnosis. Malnutrition has a serious impact on cancer treatment, because treatments like chemotherapy may lead to side effects, complications and risk of infections.

Cuddles Foundation is an NGO dedicated to helping children combat cancer through holistic nutrition. Cuddles has partnered with top government hospitals and charity cancer treatment centers to address the nutrition gap in Indian childhood cancer care. Through their FoodHeals® Program, Cuddles provides year-round holistic nutrition support to children and their families in 40+ hospitals across India.

The funds raised via Tata Mumbai Marathon will contribute to supporting hundreds of children at their partner hospitals in Mumbai with ration bundles, supplements, meals & counselling.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will serve as a a direct source of nourishment, hope, and healing for little cancer warriors who just can’t wait to get well and return to their normal lives again.
