About Me
My name is Rishika Correa. I’ve spent the past few years working in classrooms and communities where children face more challenges than any student should. From gang violence to financial hardships, I’ve seen how fragile a child’s access to education can be — and how powerful it is when they are given the chance to continue learning.
As a teacher and now a school leader-in-training, I’ve witnessed the resilience of students who dream bigger than their circumstances. They are the reason I’m running this marathon. With your support, we can make sure their dreams don’t get cut short — but instead, find the fuel they need to go further.
Appeal
For me, running the Mumbai Marathon isn’t just about crossing a finish line — it’s about ensuring that our students don’t have to stop short of theirs. I’ve seen how one unexpected crisis can push a child out of school, or how a missing 20% of funds can take away a university dream. Despite it all, they dream bigger than their circumstances, and every day they remind me why education matters. These are moments where NGOs step in — as a safety net, a last push, and a shield of stability.
This year, I’m running the Mumbai Marathon to stand beside them. I’m supporting this cause because I know first-hand that education changes everything. And with your support, we can make sure that no student has to pause their journey because of circumstances beyond their control. Every contribution counts, because every step forward for me is a step closer to changing a student’s story.
