About Me

My name is Ishaan and I'm 15 years old , studying in grade 10 in Aditya Birla World Academy. My hobbies are playing football and sprinting . Some other hobbies of mine are playing video games, reading books, and writing. The reason I chose to run the Mumbai Marathon as a fundraiser for Cuddles Foundation, is so that I can make a difference to the lives of many children who are currently in the biggest marathon of their lives. The support I can give these children is immense through this fundraiser. Every donation will get me closer to achieving a personal goal of mine to make a longlasting impact on the lives of these children

Appeal

Cancer is a disease when cells divide uncontrollably and spread into surrounding tissues. The strength we require to beat cancer at any stage is immense. However, childhood cancer can be cured. But for children in India, it’s a very different story. Lack of access to timely treatment and malnutrition among those seeking treatment makes survival difficult for children.
~76,000 adolescents (age 0-19) may develop cancer every year in India of which ~ 40% are malnourished at diagnosis. Malnutrition has a serious impact on cancer treatment, because treatments like chemotherapy may lead to side effects, complications, risk of infections, etc.
Cuddles Foundation is India's only NGO dedicated to helping children combat cancer through holistic nutrition. Cuddles has partnered with top government hospitals and charity cancer treatment centers to address the nutrition gap in Indian childhood cancer care. Through their FoodHeals® Program, Cuddles provides year-round holistic nutrition support to children and their families in 40+ hospitals across India.
The funds raised via Tata Mumbai Marathon will contribute to supporting hundreds of children at our partner hospitals in Mumbai with ration bundles, supplements, meals & counseling.
