About Me

Hi, I’m Sailee, a lawyer by profession and I have been volunteering for animal welfare organisations since 2018. This year, I am gearing up to run the Half Marathon at TMM for the second consecutive year. While this itself is so exciting, I'm even more pumped because I am running to raise funds and awareness for Wetnose Foundation, an organization doing some amazing work for the stray animals of the city.

Over the years, I’ve witnessed the resilience of community animals and the tireless work of feeders and rescuers. They step in every single day to care for dogs and cats with little recognition or support. Wetnose Foundation empowers them with resources for food, medical care, and adoption efforts. Supporting this cause means directly impacting the lives of animals who deserve dignity, care, and love.

Small acts of kindness multiply into meaningful change. That’s why I am asking you to walk—or rather, run—this journey with me. Every contribution fuels not just my run, but also the hope and health of countless animals.

Appeal

I’ve been closely associated with Wetnose Foundation as a volunteer, and I’ve seen firsthand the difference they make for stray dogs and cats in Mumbai. Day after day, they step in where no one else does—feeding hungry animals, helping community feeders, arranging sterilizations, and covering emergency medical treatments that save lives. They also work hard to find loving homes for rescues who would otherwise spend their lives on the streets.

Being on the ground with them has shown me both the harsh reality and the hope this work creates. I’ve watched injured cats recover because someone cared enough to fund their surgery. I’ve seen puppies who would not have survived the streets find warm homes. It’s these stories that inspire me to run the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026 to raise funds for Wetnose Foundation.
