About Me
Hello! I am a 14 year old animal lover studying in grade 10. Having adopted 3 stray cats, fostered animals, and volunteered in adoption camps, I have witnessed firsthand how compassion can make a huge difference to the life of a stray animal. Each animal, like a child, deserves love and dignity.
I have had the opportunity to volunteer at the World For All feline and canine centres in Mumbai. I am incredibly grateful for the shelters' work to protect and care for thousands of animals in need. I can think of no better way to aid their tireless work than donating to help create a safer, kinder world for animals who deserve a second chance.
Appeal
World For All Animal Care & Adoptions (WFA) is a Mumbai-based animal welfare organisation, that has revolutionised the model of stray animal adoptions.
The WFA Canine Care Centre rescues street dogs and manages the population humanely through sterilisation. It is a refuge for 110 dogs, out of which 48 are resident dogs with permanent disabilities.
WFA seeks to expand by building a canine shelter in Takve, near Karjat, to accommodate more rescues, especially in rural Maharashtra, where animals lack medical care. Shifting the permanent residents there will free up space for more rescues in Mumbai. For this, we need your kind support. Funds raised will help WFA operate a fully-equipped shelter with a qualified team for rescues, surgeries, treatment and post-operative care.
Impact
This Canine Shelter will create a safe, long-term home for countless needy animals who have endured unimaginable trauma, providing them with love which they have never known.
The estimated cost of this project is INR 68,28,995. The building expenditure and invoices will be shared upon request.
By choosing to donate, you help construct a haven for aged, injured and handicapped canines who have no way of surviving on the harsh streets of Mumbai due to issues like paralysis, epilepsy and organ failure. All contributions, big and small, have a great impact! The need is urgent - join us in offering these animals a future filled with the care and dignity they deserve.
All donations are eligible for tax exemption under section 80-G of Income Tax, 1961.
