Krishna
Mandave is suffering from Aplastic Anemia causing him fever and nose bleeding. Krishna lives in
Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh. He has to undergo painful blood transfusions in
every 15 days. It is his lifeline, he can’t live without it. Krishna’s
father, Shyam, is a daily wage laborer and the sole breadwinner in his family
of six. He had to sell his house to fund the treatment, but alas his small house couldn’t bear
the expense of a treatment.
“Transfusions have
become a lifeline for him. It pains me to see my child spend his childhood in
clinics and hospitals instead of in a playground. His days are spent in pain
and I don’t know what to do.”
