Asha Sadan Children's Home is a premier Child Care institution that for the past 103 years has been working under the provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act for the protection and safe custody of destitute children who are orphaned, abandoned or fleeing from abusive circumstances.
As a residential institute, Asha Sadan welcomes children aged 0-7 years, as well as young girls aged 13-18 years admitted under the orders of the Child Welfare Committee. Sometimes, these young girls find a home in Asha Sadan for 8 to 10 years until their successful rehabilitation. For the younger children who are declared orphans, Asha Sadan goes a step further by arranging adoptions, ensuring they find loving homes. Asha Sadan's committee and staff share a commitment towards offering the children comprehensive care, encompassing nutritious meals, education, counselling, medical services, and vocational education. Their aim is to prepare these children for a successful return to society.
