I am Rajiv Viegas, a Social Work Professional with over 15 years of experience of working in the Social Sector. I completed my MSW and MBA from India's most reputed Institutions and worked with corporates like the Kotak Mahindra and Tata Motors.

MelJol pioneers in the field of financial literacy and change and having closely worked with them, I know that every rupee I raise for the cause will be spent for the right cause.

The Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) recent survey on Financial Knowledge, attitudes and behavior, has amplified this significant gap across the populations. Only 68 % respondents scored below 3 out of 10 indicating a lack of understanding of fundamental financial concepts, exposing them to financial risks, particularly in economically vulnerable communities (Reserve Bank of India, 2024). This coupled with lack of resources and knowledge to effectively plan for their futures makes it impossible for Millions to break free from the cycle of poverty and achieve financial stability.
