Ahilya NGO is working for the development and up-liftment of the poor students. The target group of the society is poor and needy students and backward people belonging to slum areas of Latur town from India. The organization provides training to the students to generate wealth from the waste, skill in tailoring and provide computer education. Organization provides training in four sectors i.e. Tailoring, Computer Basics and Wealth from waste, as well as Carpentering. These skills are based on need based study done by our organization. And same training will be provided regarding computer, carpentry.
Our young generation is wandering here and there in search of employment and this factor is frustrating the young generation. Further in the current year, there is a draught like situation due to shortage of rain and the parents are migrating in a large strength to other districts. With a view to stop the migration and to provide skill for enabling the livelihood is the important requirement as on today. And our program will become their source.
Agilent partnered with United Way Mumbai in the Let's READ campaign in order to gift beautiful sets of books to less privileged children from Gurgaon, Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai.
Through Agilent's contribution we have been able to spread the wonder of reading to children from:
- Sakaar Outreach in Gurgaon & Delhi NCR
- SNS Foundation in Gurgaon
- Vidya in Bengaluru & Mumbai
A total of INR 2,54,615/- was donated towards the Let's READ campaign by Agilent employees, leading to the sponsorship of 15 mini-library bags as well as reading sessions.
This contribution will go a long way in bringing the pleasures of reading to underprivileged children.
