My Appeal

Due to COVID 19 and continued lock down, over 600000 migrants from various neighboring states like Bihar, Asam, Jharkand, and Nagaland migrant families have lost their job in Bangalore and wanted to go back to their native Villages. Unfortunately, they lost job in the middle of month of February, and till date no livelihood support. Many families are stranded and desperately go back to their states. In these helpless conditions, We at Chilume facilitating them with food, accommodation, basic health services and networking with government transportation department to get tickets booked. We at chilume so far sent more than 4998 migrants. Even when they get back to their villages they have no any means to manage their families. Therefore, we would like to provide dry ration kits for 1000 migrants in our Temporary shelter. which is sufficient for a month, Each dry ration kit would cost Rs.1100/- sufficient for a month. Once COVID 19 becomes normalcy, they would come back and search job which we will facilitate. I earnestly appeal all generous hearten persons to provide each one kit for which we will send full report and photo

My Appeal

Post COVID 19, thousands of Domestic workers have lost their livelihood and regular jobs as well. This has forced them to look out alternate earnings to maintain their families. As new academic getting ready to start, education institutions are demanding immediate payment of fees of their children. However, both parents do not have job and struggling to send back their children to school. With the present situation, it is almost sure that children would be dropped out of school for a year due to lack of any income to their families. Given this situation, we at Chilume training domestic women for a period of 15 days on stitching masks which has great demand. We will bring orders from factories, institutions, corporate companies and given the women to stitch. Each woman would be able to earn between Rs.250/- to Rs.300/- per day. Therefore, we kindly appeal to all to support our timely intervention to support 500 domestic women to earn and send their children back to school. Your donation will be used for purchasing sewing machines, raw materials, and hiring a master trainer. We Truely appreciate your donation of any digit.
