Job Overview:

The role will be responsible for effective mainstreaming of livelihood projects at United Way Mumbai. We're looking for a dynamic person who has strong programme management skills & expertise in working for in urban & rural communities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of livelihood programs including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Assist in creating and executing weekly/ monthly project plans in alignment with the overall project timelines and goals.
  • Identifying and liaising with sector expert organizations, government departments, private agencies, and NGOs for collaboration on various project components.
  • Coordinate with the project team to ensure clear understanding of roles and responsibilities, and support timely completion of all assigned deliverables as per the project plan.
  • Facilitate smooth communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders including government bodies, partner organizations, and community groups.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of project activities, including event reports, field updates, case studies, and outcome tracking.
  • Prepare and submit regular project progress reports and updates to the Manager for donor reporting requirements.
  • Maintain the financial records, tracking expenditures, and supporting the Manager in financial reconciliation and reporting of project activities.

Profile requisites:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences / Rural Development / Management or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in livelihoods, skilling, or community development projects.
  • Prior experience in community outreach, mobilization, and working with rural or marginalized communities is desirable.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and presentation skills
  • Must be efficient in communicating in English and Hindi and efficiency in Marathi.
  • The candidate must be a team player and should be willing to travel for implementing program activates.

Remuneration: Subject to relevant qualification, experience & merit; the salary range is INR 5 LPA - 9 LPA
