WIT was established in the year 1968 with the motto of “Helping Women Help Themselves". In a year on an average WIT impacts 250 women through their vocational and income generation programs.
WIT endeavor to :
Over the years WIT has grown into a multi faceted centre which provides many vocational courses to women.
Vocational Programme |

Provides training in Block/Screen Printing, Tie & Dye, Card & Toy Making, Food Processing.

Women are employed at the Production center in Panvel.

Items made by women are marketed at the 3 WIT outlets – Mahim, Tardeo & Panvel. Exhibition and Sales are organized to market the products.

Food processing items are also sold through retail outlets and export orders.

- Started in 2003 to help poor working women from the Panvel area
- Currently 25 babies are taken care in the center
- 6 qualified staff members to run the center.
