Uttarakhand Floods, 2013

Incessant rainfall in June 2013 caused extensive damage in the state of Uttarakhand. Roads and essential infrastructure suffered extensive damage. According to the figures provided by the Uttarakhand government, more than 5,700 people were "presumed dead" and more than 4000 villages were affected, with an estimated loss of over INR 3,000 Crores.
