Ummeed was established in 2001 with a goal of providing quality care with high professional standards and systems to children with developmental disabilities. Ummeed was set up in response to the paucity of facilities available to over 150,000 children with developmental disabilities. Ummeed aspires to provide their patients integrated care using a truly interdisciplinary team, empower parents and provide care to all sections of the society.Ummeed also aim to help raise awareness and improve the environment for people with developmental disabilities by supporting other organizations in such work.
Ummeed has over a dozen professionals which include developmental pediatricians, speech therapists, occupational therapists, child psychotherapist, family therapist, physical therapist, speech educators and a case coordinator. The professional are trained at institutions like Harvard University, Northwestern University, Washington University, Bombay University etc with significant experience in working with children with developmental disabilities in India.Ummeed also involves the parents actively by training them to work with their children at home.

Provide quality care to children with developmental disabilities which include the entire range of physical and mental disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy down sysndrome, mental retardation, attention defecit, hyper activity disorder, learning disabilities etc.
