Types of Volunteers

Members

Member volunteers agree to a certain job, certain hours or shifts, and a minimum commitment of 12 days in a year.

United Way - Mumbai Helpline ensures that member volunteers are given exposure in all areas - corporate meetings, grass root work for communities, event management, recruitment of volunteers, administrative work, etc.

Special Skill Volunteers

One time, project related basis.
Examples:
Creating a United Way- Mumbai Helpline or Project Film,
Designing the United Way- Mumbai Helpline Website,
Due Diligence of NGOs outside of Mumbai, etc.

Interns and International Volunteers

United Way - Mumbai Helpline welcomes interns and volunteers from all over the world.

There are limited slots per year for paid interns and volunteers. The interns and international volunteers are provided with visa application assistance and assistance in finding accommodations.
