The Madat Charitable Trust is run by my dear friend, Dr. Anand Parihar. I have seen the operations of this trust at very close quarters and followed their work under the two flagship projects, viz. "Cope with Cancer" and "Female Empowerment Through Education (FETE)". In Cope with Cancer, the trust helps deserving patients and the caregivers cope through the very arduous and demanding periods of physical, mental and financial stress, by providing financial support, enabling lower costing medical help, providing counselling services, etc. In FETE, the trust does an excellent job of identifying deserving female candidates who desire to pursue higher education, but are constrained for funds, and to such candidates, financial support is provided, to enable them to complete their education, and thereby, move forward to their careers and financial independence. Both of these causes are extremely relevant, and the work done by Dr. Anand Parihar and his team, at Madat Charitable Trust, is exemplary. I would like to take this opportunity, via my participation at the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2023, to draw attention to this wonderful NGO and also help raise funds for them. I had raised funds for the same cause last year as well, and in fact, raised INR 166,500/-. The funds were very useful to Madat Trust, and moreover, the visibility that the NGO got, was excellent.
