e-Serve ENABLE Week
Creates a Milestone in History of Corporate Giving |
|
e-Serve created a milestone in the history of corporate giving in India in the last week of Nov 2004. e-Serve is one of the leading BPO's in India, providing high end financial services processing including call center services to Citigroup entities globally. Over 1700 employees across 13 offices in India participated in the e-Serve Enable week came forward and took the initiative to become ‘Enablers’ and assist United Way partner NGO's.
These 1700 employees pledged a part of their monthly salary to the e-Serve Enable Initiative which is a fund created by e-Serve to be utilized toward ‘Developing the Next Generation’.
"Developing The Next Generation"
|
|
This is not the next generation of software or BPO MIS but "Developing the Next Generation" is an initiative designed to focus on the next generation, which is about 4 feet high, walks on two legs and has a heart and mind but perhaps little direction for its future.
e-Serve will use its Enable Fund to focus on building schools and partnering with NGO's that provide care, support, education and vocational guidance for India's next generation. |

What is ENABLE |
|
|
'ENABLE' is an e-SERVE effort to give back to the society, from where it has gained much, a special mission to make a difference to our society. To begin with, ENABLE would be joining hands with United Way, an affiliate of United Way International (UWI)
Nov 29th - Dec 3rd '04, is the ENABLE week, where e-SERVER expects maximum involvement by its employees.
....Together we can & we will make a difference through e-SERVE ENABLE! |

MD e-Serve, Feedback |
|
"26 lakh rupees, is a fantastic achievement and a great boost to the eServe Enable Initiative. We have achieved these numbers by reaching out to only about 15-20% of our workforce.
This is only our first step under Enable. We have an exciting 2005 where we will be extending our arms much more and working centre stage. United Way has shown that it is possible to engage busy young employees who have challenging jobs and yet get their full participation for community development efforts.
With this support and United Way’s commitment we look forward to a tangible results from our initiative on "Developing the Next Generation!" |
