The girls are given shelter a safe place away from the Street where they go through an introspection on their past life and go through the rehabilitation process.

Food and Nutrition
The girls are provided with food and nutrition for their development at the centre. Since most of the girls are prone to infections because of street life the nutrition for the girls is given prime importance to regain their health.

Vocational training
The girls require competent skills to earn livelihood; so vocational training is given to the girls to lead to a decent job when they are reintegrated to the mainstream society.

Personality development
The girls who are the victims of physical and mental trauma require intense inputs on personality development. Through various sessions and exercises this aspect is handled.

Recreation
Picnics and outings are organized twice in a year which gives and opportunity for Catharsis of various pent up emotional trauma

2. Rehabilitation Programme for boys at Vakola Center

Shelter
Provides shelter to 100 children. During their life in the shelter, children will learn discipline to live as a group as opposed to the unruly life on the streets. Group living is a new concept to many children, as they do not remember their family. The life in the shelter helps them to learn to care for each other and be part of a larger society.

Detoxification
The children who are addicted to substances are detoxified at the centre. If the child is a chronic addict, Support sends him to a hospital for a de-addiction programme. Street children are also prone to various infections as they live in unhygienic conditions. They come to Support with various medical problems such as TB, Pneumonia, malaria, fractures and other minor infections. Support will organise for the medical care of these children.

Education
During counseling sessions, younger children express their wish to go to school like normal children and for a professional education when they grew up. SUPPORT is sending 90 children to the Vakola Municipal School. Apart from regular schooling, special coaching is given to the children at the center.

Vocational training
Training in various vocations such as screen-printing, handicrafts and carpentry sessions are conducted for children who are unable to attend the regular school.

Food and Nutrition
Since all the children at the rehabilitation center are ex-addicts, they require good food to regain their health. SUPPORT is taking special care in the food and nutrition aspect of the children. Children are provided with three meals at the centre.

Medical check-up
The aftercare of de-addicted children is very important to prevent them from relapse. Support organizes periodic medical check up for the children at centre.

Repatriation
Children who are able remember the details of their home are send back home along with the support staff. While taking a decision to send a child back to his home, Support evaluates the situation of the home to ensure that the home environment is congenial for the child to stay and prevent further truancy.
