Support My Campaign

Team Population First is participating in SCMM to raise funds to sustain our current programs, and take up new initiatives to make a difference to the way women and their development issues are perceived and treated in our society.

We believe very strongly that one of the most effective way to influence how society perceives women is through a mind set shift. This shift can happen through dialogue with the youth, media persons and society at large.

Any contribution, large or small, would help support this cause and contributing towards building an empowered INDIA.

Raising Money For:
Population First
Population First (PF) is a communications and advocacy initiative for health and population issues from a gender and social development perspective. It was registered in March 2002 under the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950. Our key objectives are to help reduce gender imbalances in the population and work towards gender sensitive and social development oriented health and population programmes. We believe that the problem lies not in numbers but in the unequal social development and gender disparities that are prevalent in society. States with lowest gender and social development indices are the ones which have highest population growth rates indicating that women are not able to exercise their sexual and reproductive choices and are denied access to quality health and contraceptive services.
