Deafness is an invisible disability - to which we often turn a deaf ear. There are over 3.1 million Deaf in India and 22000 deaf babies adding to this number every year (NSSO survey 2002) and yet, less than 0.1% NGOs support the cause of the deaf. Our Mission: Is to make the Deaf financially self reliant and contributors in society through education, vocational training and development in skill sets that enable and empower.Inception: Deeds started on April 4th 2003. Achievements: Since inception in 2003, DEEDS has enriched and improved the lives of over 8,500 Deaf and their families.Through 11 ongoing projects both educational and vocational (OFFERED FREE OF COST) spread over Mumbai, Vadodara, Noida and Dehradun, DEEDS is fulfilling its mission of bringing purpose and joy into the otherwise silent world of the deaf..
