- This year 52% children were malnourished in beggining and after interventions normal status came to 85 %. Even remaining 15% are close to normal lines and no children in severe grade of malnutrition.
Budget of apcp program- 25 lakhs
Impact:
Baby Mehek was in grade iv of malnutrition (severe) from vashinaka area. Parents were counseled during health checkup and provided with dates and supplementary medicines for 1 month and change in diet pattern.. This was the only child in severe malnutrition after 3 time intervention and others came to normal status. Reason was, parents are working and it was difficult for them to look after child and to administer the tablets and nutrition powder.
Health workers followed up regularly with teacher and at the end we can at least raise her nutritional status to nearby normal.
Before that, being malnourished child she was often down with respiratory tract infections and pnemonitis but now it helped her alot to recover. Change in health status is noticeable.
