About NGO:
CHILDReach, a society for the advancement of appropriate education was established in 1987 with the object of creating awareness and providing services to slow learners, children with learning difficulties and school drop outs.

Fund Usage:

Childreach school, established in 1999 is a student-centered school, which advocates appropriate education for children with learning difficulties and slow learners. Slow learners are children who are academically behind their peers by a few years. These children repeat the same class a number of times often facing frustration and even go into depression. Eventually they drop out of main stream school thus becoming a burden on family and society.

Childreach school takes in such children and with help of special educators and psychologists / counsellors make individualized education programmes to enable such students to complete std. X / xii nios board and further guide them towards a suitable career option. The school places an equal emphasis on academics and co-curricular activities. Our students come from a cross-section of society and the school partly subsidizes fees through donations.

Total budget - Rs.40, 00,000/= (rupees forty lakhs) per year.

Impact:

Our students come from a cross-section of society. Many of our students are unable to pay fees and have to be sponsored by organisations like rotary and inner wheel circles.

Last year, we had 6 students who completed std. xii nios and 4 students who completed std. x nios. Some of these students are pursuing courses like catering management and computer animation at the moment so that they can be gainfully employed in future and are not a burden on family and society.
