AAWC is not about changing the world; it's about making a difference in the lives of marginalized women & children, who are otherwise abandoned, destitute and exploited, with resources to keep their body and soul together.AAWC provides various services to women, adolescent girls and children under different projects called "umeed" for women in prostitution, "udaan" for marginalized girls between the age group of 6-21 years and "umang" for children between the age group of 2.5-5 years.
Fund Usage:
The project is called "Udaan" for adolescent girls in which AAWC provides numerous services like formal & non-formal education, boarding placements, vocational training programs, nutrition, health camps, job placements, savings under self help groups, etc.
Total budget of the project : 12,00,000/-
(This year, budget is more as compared to last year because no of beneficiaries has increased and we are in the process expanding our project)
Impact:
The most rewarding and fulfilling news of AAWC history is created by one of the Udaan beneficiary's Ms. V. Every year Griffith laboratories private limited, London, organizes an all India level chef competitions of apprentice/fresher staff of "five star hotels" for "the Hans Bueshkens award" of custom culinary. Ms. V represented her hotel won this award by winning the entire regional, zonal and national rounds. Now she is invited to Hong Kong to represent Asia in semi final round.
