Mother & Child Health Care Programme

A woman's health, especially among the poor and illiterate, is often neglected not just by her family but by the woman herself. She is taught not to complain or try faith healing. In India alone, an estimated 141,000 women die each year during pregnancy or childbirth. We are creating supporting environment through mother & child health care initiative. This involves several key actions: educating women and adolescents about reproductive health care, involvement of men in maternal and newborn health care and in addressing gender discrimination and inequalities, strengthening village level government health care system (motivating anganwadi worker, ANM and village health worker) to deliver their health services. We also organise gynec health camps in the villages for free medical check-up and medicine. We have set up 25 bedded maternity hospitals in Bagar. This project will expanded in 1000 villages in india
