About NGO:

Masoom's mission is to enable night school students achive their full potential through education and policy support.

Education is the key to economic and social upliftment. Masoom specifically deals with the youth belong to weak economic background and almost all masoom beneficiaries work during day time and earn. It's due to their desperate intention of learning and qualifying themselves they attend night schools.

Many of the students has apathy towards education thus they remain absent for long time in the schools thus they don't follow the syllabus in the school. Consequently masoom does the outreach and visit irregular students home visit and initiate the act of enrollment in the schools.

All students attend schools after they finish their work hour, thus masoom started nutrition project and started providing snacks in the evening time. This program increased the attendance in the school.

The target audience of the masoom is from the weak economic background and also hardly gets the opportunity to participate in the practices of science thus, masoom provides mobile science lab and books along with the sessions by different experts. This enhances the educational quality of the students.

Fund Usage:

If we receive the donation through marathon we would like to spend that amount on the basis of different night school projects as follows

The total budget for each school is 5 Lakh and Masoom has partnered 15 school for the current academic year.

Impact:

Brijesh is thankful to his sister and Masoom as he cited that we played important part in his academic excellence as well as placement. After failing 10th std exams he then decided to work further and not to study. But his sister insisted that he should again give a try to appear for board exams and she enrolled him in the Milind night school. It was totally different experience as he wrongly assumed that night school students hardly study or attend school. But after watching his class mates attending school regularly and participating in the Masoom activities he changed his mind. Brijesh somewhere felt that he too can study well and score and also clear 10th examination. He took advantage of all academic tolls available in the school and finally cleared 10th. It was observed that math is the most difficult subject in which students fail is thus Masoom appoint volunteers in every school to strengthen this subject. Due to their inputs he scored well in the math subject.

After passing 10th his thrust for knowledge was not over as he enrolled himself in 11th STD (Milind night school/ college). Soon he discovered that he is inclined more towards in statistics and market, after meeting career cell coordinator from Masoom he received total information about his interest. Masoom then decided to go further and fulfilled his dream. The consequence of the same is, currently Brijesh is place by Masoom at edelweiss capital. This vacancy was suggested by edelweiss volunteer and he gave 1st preference to Masoom student, consequently Brijesh was hired. He is very happy with his job profile and stated that this experience with edelweiss is teaching him a lot and making his path of reaching towards his dream smooth.
