ChildRaise Trust is committed to the empowerment of Special Needs Children and Disability Issues. RAISE stands for Rehabilitation, Awareness, Information, Support and education. ChildRaise Trust provides multi-layered support such as : 1)Internet based service- www.childraise.com. This is a cross-disability web-portal which provides basic information about various disabilities, all the special services like special schools, sheltered workshops, support groups and current disability related events. 2)Print support-Resource Guide-Journey to Empowerment:a road map for special children. This book is like a directory for parents, professionals working in the field of disability.Other information material is also made available in English, Marathi & Hindi. 3) Telephone Helpline-DISHA-Disability Helpline & Action, Toll-free no.1800-22-1203.The caller can dial for any disability related information and counseling. 4)Walk-in Support- ChildRaise Center. We provide remedial education, guidance, counseling, library facility and Art Therapy.

Fund Usage:
ChildRaise Trust believes that 'Information is Power and it can change lives'.Therefore, we intend to Publications- Information pamphlets/books on various disabilities in English, Hindi and Marathi and make it available to target group & general public. Website Development-To make www.childraise.com more Accessible with user-friendly features and add more articles/information in Marathi/Hindi. Workshops/Exhibitions - For parents,teachers and volunteers. Educational & Therapy support for needy students with special needs. Awards-Felicitate the parents and teachers working with special needs and acknowledge their contributions
Impact:
Our web-portal-www.childraise.com, is viewed by approximately 3000 unique visitors per month, who seek information regarding disability.Our Toll-free telephone helpline-DISHA:Disability Helpline & Action, has all India coverage.It is attended by trained personnel and is NOT IVRS based. It provides the caller with a personal touch. ChildRaise Center has many success stories. A student age-8 years with Learning Disabilities came to our center. He was having great difficulty coping up with school curriculum especially with languages. He was provided remedial education. He was also taught study techniques, time management skills etc. With such intervention plan, holistic training, parent counseling, regular follow up, now he has grown up to be a confident young boy who has completed his 10th std and is in the mainstream society giving his best.
