About NGO:

Sujaya Foundation is a six year old Mumbai base not for profit organization. Our aim is to bridge the digital and linguistic divide through education. We offer educational services to under privileged school going children for Maths, English and Computers and we offer English & Computer education to under privileged youth. We try to offer opportunities for employment in the IT/Services/Retail Industry.

As many children from disadvantaged background do not have basic English communication skills which can encumber their future higher studies as well as employment the Foundation helps them cope with such weaknesses to achieve the foundation has set up centres in the identified schools and communities where children can easily access the facilities.

Fund Usage:

Sujaya foundation has an ongoing Computer and English Immersion programme. The funds raised will to towards our ongoing programmes. As a part of the English programme we are also working on a digitization project.

Impact:

Debashis Sasti :
Debashish came to us from West Bengal. He was a part of a group of students who jointly came to study computers. He was the only student who was keen to learn computers and then return to his native place to teach the local youth what he had learnt, He completed the computer course with us and then we trained hin on how to conduct the course himself. Further, Sujaya Foundation staff visited his native place and we conducted part of the course and the exam for the first batch he taught to ensure that his skills matched our standards. Today he runs the class independently and is teaching upwards of 300 students.
