Project Poshan Update - December 2022

Baseline anthropometric measurements (weight, height and mid-upper arm circumference) were conducted for 10,000+ children in 189 villages of Karjat. The anthropometric data has been used to identify the malnourished children and help distinguish different categories of malnourishment i.e. SAM/ MAM children. The data will also serve as a baseline to compare with end-line and growth monitoring measurements for tracking progress.

Moreover, a critical child from Damsewadi village, Khandas bit was provided urgently required medical support by quick referral to the Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre in Sub-district Hospital, Karjat by the Poshan team. Click on the update to know Bala’s story.
